A-Z Challege: Gump, Forrest -- Forrest, Gump

What's a movie marathon without Forrest Gump :P

RUN FORREST, RUN!!!!

Forrest Gump Poster

You might be wondering why the title is Gump, Forrest so let me explain. I had to make it Gump Forrest to fit Friends With Benefits in. Plain and simple :P

First off, if you have never seen this movie, YOU. HAVE. NO. LIFE. It's a classic. Tom Hanks plays Forrest Gump who becomes a huge inspiration to all.

"Forrest, Forrest Gump is a simple man with a low IQ but good intentions. He is running through childhood with his best and only friend Jenny. His 'mama' teaches him the ways of life and leaves him to choose his destiny. Forrest joins the army for service in Vietnam, finding new friends called Dan and Bubba, he wins medals, creates a famous shrimp fishing fleet, inspires people to jog, starts a ping-pong craze, create the smiley, write bumper stickers and songs, donating to people and meeting the president several times. However this is all irrelevant to Forrest who can only think of his childhood sweetheart Jenny. Who has messed up her life. Although in the end all he wants to prove is that anyone can love anyone." -http://www.imdb.com

This is one movie everyone must see in their life. It's a huge inspiration and a moving video about how you can accomplish anything even when the odds are against you. Just watch some of the videos bellow for a slip of a few parts of the movie.

Run Forrest, Run!

One Thing You Should Never Say To The President...

I hope you enjoyed those scenes. I was looking for the one where Forrest takes the gun and disassembles and reassembles it instantly. Still a classic...

Thanks for reading my post! Now let's take a break for a day :) See ya on Monday with "H" and a wonderful wizard ;)

A-Z Question:
What's your favorite scene from the movie? How would you feel like if you were Forrest?

  1. It was such a great movie about nothing that meant so much, that it was not nothing at all. It was a great happy/sad/strong/ anything can happen to you if you just do. My favorite part is when this feather came into the film in the beginning and floated out in the end... and everything between it.

Good Stuff... to the challenge "G" is for Genuine!

    1. I couldn't agree more Jeremy. Anything can happen if you put your mind to it. The feather is also a favorite part of mine :D

  2. After watching this movie, I wanted to date a Forrest Gump. I would hang out by the small classroom at the back of my school, which was just SE. Yeah, I am weird.

  5. Hello, Yadin! Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies! I don't know if I can pick a favorite scene because there are so many great ones... Okay, I can afterall! The scene when Lieutenant Dan arrives and Forrest gets so excited he dives into the water and his boat crashes into the dock. "That's my booat." Bahahaha!

I also really love the wedding day scene when Forrest proudly introduces his Jenny to Dan. That's such a touching scene. Forrest is so happy, and you can see Dan respects and admires Jenny for loving Forrest and making his dream come true.

Most people don't know this is based on the book by Winston Groom. It's really good, too!

Have a great weekend and happy A to Z!!
