Your an extra terrestrial! AH!!!! DANGER! DANGER! E.T in the premises!
E.T. by Katy Perry ft. Kanye West
My good friend E.T. and I love using the phone... hehe...
Directed by Steven Spielberg, E.T. is the story of a young Alien who gets left on Earth and then is brought in by a boy Elliot. Elliot and E.T. create an unbreakable bond so when E.T. starts getting ill, Elliot gets ill too and this affects Elliot in the long run. What ever happens to one of them happens to the other.
Elliot is your normal boy, until one day, when he meets a little lost alien. Elliot decides to keep the alien, in which he gives the name E.T. Elliot works with E.T. in trying to find him a way to get back home. Elliot must make the difficult sacrifice. Whether to help his new friend or to lose him? Whatever the decision is, Elliot must keep him hidden, as someone else is out to look for him. -http://www.imdb.com
Now I don't want to ruin the movie because it is a classic! E.T. is one movie everyone has to watch otherwise you have never lived. It also explains much about 12/21/12... Just kidding!!!
If you have never watched it, this is one movie I suggest watching by yourself, with a friend, with the family, or even with your children (if you have)! I personally saw this when I was around 8 or 10. It's no Jaws so it's definitely able to be watched by minors. Here are a few videos of E.T. for you to enjoy.
E.T. Movie Trailer
E.T. Phone Home...
AHHHH!!!!!
Isn't he a friendly alien :) E.T. is one of the keepers that all kids and adults will cherish their whole life. As for tomorrow's "F" post, we have a more modern movie ft. Justin Timberlake! Him and his good friends. Thanks again for checking out my post and for your feedback :)
A-Z Question:
What is your favorite scene from E.T.? If alien's ever came to Earth, how would you react? Who/What is your favorite alien(s) of all time? E.T, Green Lantern aliens, Yoda, or any aliens in general?
Thanks again for stopping by!

Edit: Versatile Blogger Award & Sunday Postings of A-Z
Another award! I want to thank Jeremy over at http://geekytendencies.blogspot.com for giving me this award. Now I have received The Versatile Blogger award before but not this one. For the sake of keeping this at a short post, please go check out my post on The Versatile Blogger award :)
Also, for A-Z we don't post on Sundays which is why I am starting a new thing, 0-4 Challenge :D On every Sunday during the April A-Z Challenge, I will be going with my theme but the movies will start with a number. For example, this coming Sunday, 007 :P etc. This is just an idea that I had but I want to give a shout out to Nick who helped me with this idea and brainstorming it.
Cheers!
E.T is a film I'd gladly watch again. Glad you picked it for your 'E'.
ReplyDeleteI'm also quite glad I did because it seems like a lot of people love it :D
DeleteI have watched E.T. dozens of times throughout my life, and it still makes me cry every single. The best scene is when they try to disguise him. I think I might watch it right now. It's been far too long.
ReplyDeleteI agree Nellie. It's an emotional movie. I haven't seen it in years and i'm tempted to watch it right now :P
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Yeah, ET will make the hardest person cry.
ReplyDeleteFavorite aliens? Probably Klingons.
Agreed Alex. It's a pretty emotional movie and I do like Klingons I won't lie ;P
DeleteCheers!
When ET got worse on the operating table so Elliot could get better. Plus Elliot's windswept kiss with the girl of his dreams amongst the chaos of escaping toads.
ReplyDeleteWagging Tales
Those are both amazing scenes. I like the Halloween scene :)
DeleteET is a fabulous movie. I watched it as a child and then again with my child. Great pick.
ReplyDeleteThanks :) It is a family favorite :)
DeleteAs a kid and saw ET for the first time i was like whoooaaaa! as an adult, it's time for him to come back. my favorite part was ET should up in Star Wars Ep. II... at the senate meeting.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! ... to the challenge "E" is for Efficient!

Although I am not an adult, I agree. He must come back and be brought down through generations. He is a classic. That Star Wars scene is one of my favorites also :)
DeleteCheers!
Hey. I just found your blog through the A-Z Challenge. Nice post, and great movie. A true classic.
ReplyDeleteP.S: I am also doing a movie theme over at my blog.

Thanks Michael :) I'm glad you liked it! I saw your blog and I am now following it but I love your movie choices :)
DeleteCheers!
I've never seen ET I guess I aught too. If aliens came to earth, I'd try to decide if they were good aliens or bad aliens before I took any coarse of action.
ReplyDeleteIf they are bad aliens, I'm all about organizing a resistance movement.
Lol you really are missing out. Go watch E.T. It's amazing :)
DeleteET phone home (such a heart breaking scene)!! I LOVE this movie !! One of my all time faves and it never ever gets old !
ReplyDeleteET is the cutest of all aliens. Yoda is pretty cool too. Do gremlins count for aliens ? they are so furry & cute !
That's one of my favorite lines if not my favorite :D E.T. is pretty cool but Yoda is more old. Gremlins are cool though so their a mix of alien and monster :P
DeleteHiya!
ReplyDeleteStopping by to check out your A-Z blog. I remember seeing ET in the theater! Loved it even then (I was pretty young.)
Favorite aliens... That's a tough one. How about Greedo? Yeah, he was kinda scummy, and didn't live very long, but he didn't beat around the bush!
See ya' around!
--j--
Greedo is a cool alien :P I bet you still love E.T. to the day :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Love ET but everyone does, don't they? Love when he hiding in closet dressed up.
ReplyDeleteEveryone does :) Good scene :P Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLove ET but everyone does, don't they? Love when he hiding in closet dressed up.
ReplyDeleteI loved all the Star Wars toys in ET and then seeing him in the Star Wars prequel.
ReplyDeleteFavorite aliens? Well that would have to be Klingons. I like Star Wars, but I am more of a Trek fan!
I am trying to read all the A to Z blogs, but coming back to the ones I really like.
Looking forward to seeing what you do all month!

Who doesn't love Star Wars! :D
DeleteStar Trek is a classic i'll give you that. Spock is my favorite or Captain Kirk :)
I hope you come back and enjoy the rest of my posts and I commend you for checking out all the blogs :D
Cheers!
Great videos on ET and information. I like the reeses candy part. That's probably because I like the candy :)
ReplyDeleteReese's are amazing! I love them sooooooo much!!!
DeleteThanks for the kind words :D Enjoy your week!
E.T is a classic childhood movies from the eighties. I have fond memories of watching it. I don't like the Katy Perry song however.
ReplyDeleteI hope this brought back memories :) The Katy Perry song is good but it gets annoying. I only like the Kanye West part :P
DeleteThank you for bringing back good memories. I love E.T.!
ReplyDeleteGlad it helped :D
DeleteIt was very difficult to leave a comment on your page. It keeps loading when you think it is finished, and you lose what you wrote. This is about the 5th attempt.
ReplyDeleteSo, yes. Love ET. I guess there would be some younger people out there who haven't seen it. It's older than I thought. I have a lunchbox with ET on it here that my son had in school. And that was over 20 years ago... Yikes!
Wow thanks for the effort :D Sorry you had to deal with silly problems :P
DeleteWOW! That's cool! I am a "younger person" if you will and I do know a few people who haven't seen it but I keep pushing them to watch it. You haven't lived till you've seen E.T. :D
What is your favorite scene from E.T.?
ReplyDeleteNear the end when Elliot and E.T. are dying, it always felt like a powerfully emotional scene for such young actors to pull off.
If alien's ever came to Earth, how would you react?
I believe most peoples reaction including mine would be fear, and perhaps curious. But honestly if they came here more then likely they would be ahead of us in their technology. Meaning they could do nearly what ever they want and their probably wouldn't be much we could do...and looking at what we do to each other when one is the stronger, I doubt they would help us, they would either use us, enslave us, ignore us as not worth their time if they are advanced enough, or destroy us. It is highly unlikely they would befriend and assist us. So I say fear would be a good thing to feel.
Who/What is your favorite alien(s) of all time? E.T, Green Lantern aliens, Yoda, or any aliens in general?
Haha! I love Yoda! But honestly I like all the Aliens from Mass Effect, the makers of the game did an amazing job in my opinion.
Great post I love E.T. though its been a couple of years since I've seen it I believe my son 4yrs might be old enough to enjoy it, so I need to start looking around.
Looking forward to more of your A-Z Challenge posts! You have a new follower!
Thanks :D I totally agree with you on the what we would do part :P I'd be curious but as most people would react, when a alien comes you don't walk up to it and go "Hi my name is _____" because you'd be blasted to pieces or something :P
DeleteI'd say your son is possibly old enough. I watched it when I was 8 or 10 but it's your choice :)
Thanks for stopping by and following my blog :)
Cheers!

E.T was such a great movie - it broke so much new ground in family entertainment.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part has to be the scene when they follow the trail of Reese's Pieces. I can't eat Reese's Pieces without thinking about it and smiling - it was such an innocent, lovely moment. And possibly the most innocent-but-obvious product placement ever.
I agree, the Reese's scene was just amazing :D One because I love Reese's and Two because It's just so sweet (no pun intended) and nice to see them together :)
DeleteE.T. used to terrify me as a child. Luckily I got over that quickly and was able to appreciate how good it is. Excellent E choice :)

DeleteFor some reason the Reees's scene sticks in my head. Maybe it's because of the commercials they put out around the same time. Nice post. New follower!

I took my son to see E.T. when it first came out in the theaters. We loved the film. I've watched it several times since and now own the DVD. I think I'm about due to watch it again.
