It's a Goal!!!

As you can see, people get excited for their goals. Now this video is only based on soccer goals but what i'm getting at is goals in general. We should be allowed to be excited for our goals but how do we get there in the first place? Well the main answer is, you have to work for it and push yourself to get it.

Now every blogger or person in the world has goals they set for themselves to achieve something in life. I want to talk to you about my goals for this year.

When ever I go on a blog, I always see awards of the sort on their dashboard, sidebar, or in a separate page. One of my goals this year is to achieve an award or two from our community. Big or small, it's still an award and no one ever gets them for doing nothing, you have to work for your earnings.

Secondly, I want to finish and publish Divination. Doing so would put me at a great start for my writing career as a teen and it would also look amazing on College resumes. I also would be immensely happy at the completion of my first book because as most of you know, it's a lot of work and for my age, it's a pretty big deal.

Last but not least, I want to make more friends in the community. I want to try following more blogs, talking with new people, and expanding my horizons. As they say, you give a little, you get a little. In our case, you follow blogs and give feedback to others, you will get followers back and get feedback. I'm just so glad that our community has welcomed me with such open hands because I have already hit 1,000 page views in less then 2 weeks which for a brand new blog is pretty good plus I was getting a good 10+ followers per day! That's incredible!!!

I just am so glad that our community is so giving and caring and how we all work together as a team to help each other in any way possible. Let me leave you with this life lesson, If you ever want to make something out of yourself, don't look to others to do it for you, work for what you want and don't try easing through it.

Enjoy the rest of your week!!!

This posts question:

What are your goals for this 2012 year? Publish a book, achieve straight A's, do well socially? I'd love to hear and discuss with you so just comment with your answer :)

  1. I think you're doing a damn good job so far, Yadin :)

My goal for this year is to be a little more serious with my blog. I need to get into a steady habit of reviewing books on time (it's quite hard) but I'm getting there :)

    1. Gosh, thanks Jamie :D That means a lot XD

I like your goals. I bet reviewing books is tough. I might give it a try some time. That or movie reviewing XD

      Good luck!

  2. Completing (and publishing) a book is a lot of work and a pretty big deal regardless of age. Best of luck on reaching your goals!

    1. Thanks Jeff! I agree that it's a huge work load. You don't realize how much work goes into books until you write one ^_^

      Thanks for dropping by!

  3. This community is great. I see you're doing the A to Z Challenge. Another fabulous way to connect! I'm excited for April. My goals for 2012 are to write and submit a short story every month, and to revise three of my novels. (I think I'm going to make that just two since the first one is taking so long!)

    1. GOSH! Short stories ever month, revising three novels... That seems like a lot :P Good luck though! May I ask who your publisher is?

  4. Welcome to the A-Z Challenge! Thanks so much for voting for the videos, too. I see that you have a goal of earning awards in 2012. I know you'll get at least one! There will be a groovy badge showing you successfully completed the challenge! I'm assuming an ambitious young man such as you will of course finish...
